In the Attic Room Updates post, I mentioned that I made my bar cart dreams come true with the SUNNERSTA utility cart from IKEA.  This week’s post focuses specifically on the cart.  I recently turned the cart into a mini coffee bar!  It’s placed right next to my desk, so I feel as if my workspace is a private coffee shop.  I will definitely do a “Cafe-Inspired Workspace” post in the future.  For now though, here is a tour of my new coffee bar cart by itself.  Let’s do this layer by layer…

TOP LAYER:

This is where all the magic happens.  My pour over stand and espresso maker is here, along with my matcha tea set (Matsu green tea powder from Matcheologist, bowl, and whisk).

Pour Over Stand: Brass Pour Over Coffee Dripper Stand w/ Wood Base

Espresso Machine: Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine

Solid Wood Bowls:  Cospring Set of 4 Solid Wood Bowl

MIDDLE LAYER:

At coffee shops, you’ll usually find corners with magazines and/or books.  I tried to emulate this with white magazines and books to match the cart, including Richard McGuire’s Sequential Drawings: The New Yorker Series.  These items are placed on top of a nifty drawer that stores all my Nespresso capsules.  Speaking of Nespresso, I’ve tried almost all the capsules already, and I would like to share some of my favorite ones with you in a future “Favorite Nespresso Capsules” post!

Nespresso Capsules Drawer: Mind Reader 50 Capacity Nespresso Capsule Drawer Organizer

Book: Sequential Drawings: The New Yorker Series by Richard McGuire

BOTTOM LAYER:

The bottom layer includes my Marshall speaker, Hario coffee grinder, and Le Sac en Papier on the side.  I love using the speaker to listen to audibles of books (music from time to time too, but mostly audibles).  As for the coffee grinder, I do use it to hand grind my own coffee beans sometimes.  Whenever it’s not in use, it does give a nice touch to the coffee bar.  In the Le Sac en Papier, I store my eucalyptus branches and used Nespresso capsules to recycle later on.

Speaker: Marshall Acton Wireless Bluetooth Speaker System

Coffee Grinder: Hario Small Coffee Grinder

Le Sac en Papier:  Uniqfind

There we have it!  A tour of my new coffee bar cart.  I’m looking forward to sharing more of the cart with you in future posts.  Remember to look for a “Cafe-Inspired Workspace” post and a “Favorite Nespresso Capsules” post soon!
